Charles Truelson

Hi! I’m Charles Truelson.

I'm a hands-on engineering leader with over 10 years of experience building high-impact products for media companies.

Most recently, I was a partner at Apollo 350, a high-end software consultancy for major publishers. We helped companies like CNBC, Wall Street Journal, Endeavor Streaming, and TelevisaUnivision on high-impact projects, such as improving release cycles, debt removal, app migrations, and performance optimization. I also handled user features like live video, advertising dashboards, OTT subscription flows, and editorial platforms.

Before Apollo, I worked at Condé Nast, where I was the director of product for Condé Nast Entertainment. I led our strategies to increase advertising inventory, improve SEO, and build critical metrics dashboards for the business. I also worked as an engineering manager and tech lead at Condé Nast Entertainment, where I led the team that built and maintained our homegrown video player. We supported billions of views and 8-figures of ad revenue.

In the past, I led an amazing team as the engineering manager at VanityFair.com, where we worked on projects geared towards user and revenue growth.

I'm based on Long Island, NY. I love all forms of creativity, such as music, filmmaking, writing, and editing. DJing and hosting events are both huge passions of mine. Most people call me Charlie.

Trusted by leading companies

I've launched products that reach millions of users. Fostering strong relationships across organizations, I drive strategic initiatives with expertise in business, product, and engineering management.
